The chicken looked brown and succulent.
' Thank God' she sighed deeply After two years of marriage, she had finally managed not to cremate a meal.
She proudly conveyed the bird to the table where he sat waiting in judgment - as usual.
Seeing his expression, she said with some asperity.
' There, perfect! - but not as good as your Mother's no doubt.
