 NONSENSE RHYME

(written for a challenge to write a poem about a Platypus for Radio Somerset)

My duck-billed platypus named Stan
talks to the cat because he can ...

My front is duck - my tail more otter
my fur's a shade of terracotta
while you my friend - you're very plain
I love to swim - you hate the rain.
I can shoot poison - you can’t lay eggs
but how i wish i had your legs
